ISLAMABAD: Severe Heatwave Grips Pakistan, the Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain hot in Punjab, while the plains may experience intense heat, with the day temperature likely to be 3 to 5 degrees higher than normal.
The weather is expected to remain extremely hot and dry in Islamabad and its surroundings, while the day temperature is likely to be 2 to 4 degrees higher than normal.
The weather will remain hot and dry in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while intense heat has been predicted in the lower districts, with rain likely at a few places in Kohistan and Malakand.
The weather will remain extremely hot and dry in Sindh, where the temperature is predicted to be up to 6 degrees higher than normal in most districts. The districts include Jacobabad, Larkana, Mohenjodaro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki and Khairpur.
The weather is also expected to be extremely hot in the central and southern districts of Balochistan. The temperature in the province is likely to be 6 degrees higher than normal. The affected areas include Sibi, Turbat, Panjgur, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Barkhan, Naseerabad and Kalat.
