ISLAMABAD: Heatwave Continues while the Meteorological Department has given good news to the citizens suffering from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain with thundershowers in different areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today.
The weather has been predicted to be hot and humid in most districts of Punjab, however, strong winds and thundershowers may occur in Murree, Galiyat, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot and Narowal in the afternoon.
In addition, the weather is likely to be cloudy in Karachi today, while light drizzle has also been predicted in different areas of the city.
The weather in Islamabad will remain hot and humid today, according to the Meteorological Department, the weather may remain partly cloudy in the evening hours.
The weather is expected to remain extremely hot in most districts of Balochistan, while strong winds and thundershowers are likely to occur in Khuzdar and surrounding areas in the evening and night.
During the last 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded in Balochistan’s Naukundi city was 45 degrees Celsius. Dalbandin, Jacobabad and Dadu recorded 44, Sukkur 43, and Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha and Chilas recorded 41 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature recorded in Muzaffarabad was 39 degrees Celsius, while Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Gilgit recorded 38 degrees Celsius.
