PESHAWAR: With the onset of drizzle in the provincial capital Peshawar, the intense heat broke, while the cool and strong winds blowing in the city made the weather pleasant.
A clear change was seen in the weather as soon as the rain started and citizens expressed satisfaction with the temporary relief from the intense humidity and heat.
Light rain accompanied by strong winds continued in many areas, which recorded a drop in temperature and also affected normal activities on the roads.
According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain is likely to continue in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar until July 5, with thunderstorms and strong winds also predicted at some places.
The Meteorological Department has directed citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during bad weather, be careful in low-lying areas and stay away from weak trees, electricity poles and unsafe structures due to strong winds.
On the other hand, as the weather in the city became pleasant due to the rain, citizens began to visit parks and recreational areas, while farmers also described the rain as beneficial for crops.
