West Indies defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in the first Test.
In the match being played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, the host West Indies defeated Pakistan by 90 runs and the Pakistani team was bundled out for 120 runs in pursuit of a target of 211 runs.
In pursuit of the target, Azan Owais 3, Imam-ul-Haq 3 and Salman Agha were dismissed without scoring any runs, while Azan Owais, Imam-ul-Haq and Shan Masood were dismissed after scoring 3 runs each.
Ali Usman scored 2, Khurram Shahzad scored 4 runs, Amir Jamal and Mohammad Ali were dismissed for zero, while captain Babar Azam remained not out after scoring 58 runs. 8 players of Pakistan could not enter double figures.
In this regard, captain Babar Azam said in the post-match press conference that we played good cricket overall in the Test, the batting line-up could not perform on the last day.
Babar Azam said that the new ball was expected to be difficult, while the pressure increased due to the consecutive wickets falling, but the target of 211 runs could have been achieved and we will come back through better play in the next Test.
Earlier, the West Indies started the fourth day with 126 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their second innings and the entire team was bowled out for 181 runs. The West Indies got a lead of 210 runs overall.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas took five wickets, Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali took two wickets each.
It should be noted that the West Indies had scored 311 runs in the first innings, in response to which the Pakistan team was bowled out for 282 runs.
