MULTAN: Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in various cities of Punjab broke the grip of intense heat and humidity, while the weather was pleasant in many areas.
Rain accompanied by strong winds was recorded in Multan, DG Khan and Bahawalnagar, due to which the temperature dropped significantly. Waterlogging in some low-lying areas also affected the flow of traffic, while citizens expressed satisfaction with the change in weather.
According to the Meteorological Department, more rain with strong winds, gusty winds and thunderstorms is likely in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Heavy rain and hail may also occur at some places.
The Meteorological Department has warned that strong winds and heavy rain can damage weak structures, trees and electrical installations, so citizens should take precautionary measures.
On the other hand, the weather is predicted to be hot and humid in most areas of Sindh and Balochistan, however, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in a few places in the evening or night.
