BEIJING: US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, on a three-day official visit, where he was given a warm and grand welcome at Beijing Airport.
According to the news agency, it is almost 9 years since an American president visited China. Previously, President Trump visited China in 2017.
The US president will stay in China until May 15, during which he will have an important meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to diplomatic sources, the two leaders will discuss bilateral relations, global trade, the security situation in the region and international affairs.
Analysts say that this visit could prove to be a new development in US-China relations, while it is also expected to have a significant impact on the global economy and regional politics.
