ISLAMABAD: Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has overtaken India’s Abhishek Sharma to occupy the second position in the ICC T20 International Batsmen Rankings.
India won the three-match T20 series against Zimbabwe 0-3, after which several important changes were revealed in the new rankings released.
Sahibzada Farhan moved to second place with 848 rating points, while Abhishek Sharma, who had 819 points, moved to third place. India’s Ishan Kishan remains at the top with 910 points.
Pakistan’s young batsman Saim Ayub is 41st with 560 points, former captain Babar Azam is 43rd with 555 points, while T20 captain Salman Ali Agha remains at 45th with 547 points.
In the T20 bowlers’ rankings, Pakistan’s spinner Abrar Ahmed remains in second place with 736 points, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the top and England’s Adil Rashid is in third place.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz is 10th, fast bowler Salman Mirza has moved up one place to 15th, while Shaheen Shah Afridi has also moved up one place to 30th.
