ISLAMABAD: The weather across the country is set to take a turn once again, as the Meteorological Department has predicted more rains in different areas over the next few days. According to experts, a new weather system has entered Pakistan that will affect several cities.
After the rain in Lahore yesterday, there has been a pleasant change in the city’s weather and a coolness is being felt in the air. According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed was recorded at 5 kilometers per hour, while the humidity in the air has reached 70 percent.
The Meteorological Department has clarified that there is no possibility of rain in the city today. However, a new wave of westerly winds is likely to enter the country next week, as a result of which thundershowers have been predicted.
Rain has been forecast in Karachi from tomorrow to April 7, where thundershowers, strong winds and hailstorms are also expected at some places. Citizens have been advised to exercise caution.
The weather in Islamabad is likely to be partly cloudy today, while there may be thundershowers at some places after noon. There has been a significant drop in temperature, with the mercury recorded at 13 degrees Celsius in the morning and likely to go up to 22 degrees during the day. The wind speed was recorded at 11 kilometers per hour and the humidity ratio was more than 72 percent.
According to the Meteorological Department, thundershowers are also expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while snowfall may occur in the high mountainous areas. This trend is likely to continue till April 9.
