Karachi: Martyrs’ Day is being celebrated across the country today with full national enthusiasm.
61 years ago today, the Pakistan Army and the Pakistani nation crushed the enemy who attacked in the darkness of night.
This tradition of giving a befitting reply to an enemy many times bigger than themselves was repeated in May last year.
Martyrs’ Day is being celebrated today in memory of the September 1965 war, for which a special ceremony was also organized at the Quaid’s shrine in Karachi.
Pakistan Air Force cadets took over the duties of guards at the Quaid’s shrine, while Air Commanding PAF Academy Asghar Khan Air Vice Marshal Hassan Faisal was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony on this occasion, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Faisal said that the Pakistan Air Force has always fulfilled the hopes of the nation, the Pakistan Air Force has offered its services in every difficulty, the defense of the airspace is in the strong hands of the Pakistan Air Force, and the Pakistan Air Force gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression last year.
He further said that under the leadership of the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force, the defense has been strengthened with the latest system, we pay tribute to all the martyrs, Pakistan definitely wants peace but will not compromise on sovereignty.
