ISLAMABAD: Egypt’s Ambassador to Pakistan has reaffirmed the strong friendship between Egypt and Pakistan, saying the two countries continue to strengthen their partnership based on mutual respect, shared values, and close people-to-people ties.
Speaking at the National Day reception held at Serena Hotel in Islamabad, the ambassador welcomed Chief Guest Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, members of the diplomatic community, government officials, and other distinguished guests. He thanked the Government of Pakistan and all attendees for joining the celebrations.
The ambassador said Egypt’s National Day commemorates the 1952 Revolution, a landmark event that paved the way for the country’s independence, social justice, dignity, and national development. He added that Egypt remains committed to building a peaceful, stable, and prosperous nation while promoting international cooperation.
Highlighting bilateral relations, the ambassador said Pakistan and Egypt have enjoyed a long-standing friendship that has grown stronger in recent years. He noted that the exchange of high-level visits has played an important role in expanding cooperation between the two countries.
He specifically referred to the two visits of Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, to Pakistan and the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to Egypt, describing them as important milestones in further strengthening bilateral ties.
The ambassador expressed confidence that Pakistan and Egypt would continue to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, and other areas for the mutual benefit of both nations.
