Islamabad: The Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country for the next 12 hours.
In the morning, 19 degrees Celsius was recorded in Islamabad, 28 in Lahore, 27 in Karachi, 20 in Peshawar, 18 in Quetta and Muzaffarabad, 12 in Gilgit, and 15 degrees Celsius in Murree.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain in most parts of the country during the next few hours and the weather will remain dry and hot overall, due to which a further increase in temperature is also expected during the day.
Weather forecasters say that the weather will remain dry in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla.
According to the temperature recorded in the morning, Srinagar, Anantnag and Shopian recorded 13 degrees Celsius, Jammu 27, Leh 6 and Pulwama and Baramulla 14 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures during the hot weather and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun.
