KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has said that the maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to reach 35 degrees Celsius, while the weather in the city will remain partly cloudy and humid, with drizzle in some areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Karachi today was recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, while the humidity in the air was 75 percent, and the wind in the city was blowing at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour.
On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain dry and extremely hot in most areas of Balochistan.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius in Quetta, 34 in Kalat, 29 in Ziarat and 37 in Zhob.
Similarly, the temperature in Sibi and Nokundi reached 45 degrees Celsius, while 38 degrees Celsius was recorded in Turbat and 40 degrees Celsius in Chaman, while the maximum temperature in the coastal areas of Balochistan, Gwadar and Jiwani, was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain dry and hot in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the intensity of the humidity and heat is likely to increase further in the plains.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is also a possibility of rain in some areas of Hazara and Malakand divisions.
The temperature in Peshawar was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius, while the humidity in the air remained at 53 percent.
In other areas of the province, the temperature in Chitral was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius, in Dir at 22, in Malam Jabba at 24, in Saidu Sharif at 27, in Bannu at 34, in Dera Ismail Khan at 33 and in Abbottabad at 27 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has directed the citizens to take precautionary measures in view of the severity of the weather.
Meanwhile, the heat and humidity in Lahore made the citizens miserable, where the Meteorological Department has predicted that the intense heat will continue today and has shown the possibility of further increase in the temperature and humidity.
According to the Meteorological Department, the current temperature in Lahore was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature in the city is likely to reach 40 degrees Celsius today.
The Meteorological Department says that the humidity ratio in the air has been recorded at 49 percent, due to which the felt temperature (feels like) has reached 43 degrees Celsius, while during the day it can increase to 47 degrees Celsius.
Winds are blowing at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour in the city, however, due to the decrease in wind speed, an increase in humidity is being felt, which has further increased the intensity of the heat.
The Meteorological Department has clarified that there is no possibility of rain in Lahore today, while citizens have been instructed to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun, consume more water and take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the heat.
