ISLAMABAD: Heatwave: The weather has taken a dual turn in different parts of the country, with intense heat continuing on one side and rain forecast in some areas on the other.
Light drizzle has been forecast on the coastal belt of Sindh including Karachi tonight or in the morning, while some decrease in humidity is expected in the city compared to the previous day.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, an intense heat wave is currently prevailing in most districts of Sindh, Balochistan and southern Punjab, and the temperature may exceed 40 degrees Celsius in many areas of the country.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted that rain with strong winds is likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southern Punjab, northern Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan this evening or night, while hail may also occur at a few places, which is expected to bring temporary coolness in the weather.
