HANGU: Captain Hamza martyred during Hangu counterterrorism operation. Security forces killed 7 Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists in an intelligence-based operation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted on August 7 on information about the presence of Indian proxy Fitna-ul-Khawarij operatives, during which the security forces effectively targeted the Khawarij hideout.
The ISPR said that 7 Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists were killed in the operation. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain Khawarij. The terrorists were involved in the killing of several civilians.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Captain Hamza lost his life fighting bravely. Captain Hamza was continuously pursuing the Khawarij while leading his troops.
The ISPR further said that a sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any other Khawarij in the area, and that an effective counter-terrorism campaign to eradicate terrorism will continue at full speed. Such sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen the nation’s resolve for security and safety.
