Muzaffarabad: There is great news for students that the summer vacations in schools have been extended by one week.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government on Monday announced an extension of the summer vacations for educational institutions in the summer zone by 4 more days.
In this regard, the Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education has issued a notification stating that all educational institutions under the summer zone in Azad Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026.
After this, Friday, August 14 will be a holiday for Pakistan’s Independence Day, while Saturday and Sunday will be regular holidays, thus giving students a total of one week’s extension in the summer vacations.
The extension of the summer vacations will apply to both government and private educational institutions.
