KARACHI: Weather Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding a new rain system in Sindh, under which rains are likely to continue in different parts of the province until March 29.
According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain has been predicted in many cities of Sindh, including Karachi. Light rain and drizzle are expected in Karachi today as well, while there are also chances of thunderstorms and strong winds in some places.
The Meteorological Department says that there will be a temporary break in the weather on March 27, however, there is a possibility of rain again on March 28 and 29. The temperature in the city will be recorded up to 32 degrees Celsius. At present, the humidity in the air is 79 percent and the winds are blowing at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.
Due to the continuation of the westerly winds, the administration has directed the citizens to take precautionary measures. Experts say that citizens should avoid leaving their homes unnecessarily during strong winds and thunderstorms.
