Islamabad: Pakistan Weather Update: A powerful system bringing rain has entered Pakistan, in view of which an alert has been issued.
According to the details, the Meteorological Department has predicted rains with thunderstorms and gusty winds in most parts of the country from today to March 30.
A powerful westerly wind has entered the southwestern areas of Balochistan, due to which rains have started in various districts of the province.
Under the influence of the westerly system, heavy rains are expected in these provinces, which has raised the risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas.
Clouds will accumulate in various areas of Punjab, including the twin cities, in view of which a high alert has been issued in Islamabad because there is a risk of flooding in rivers and canals due to the stormy rains and flooding of low-lying areas.
Rains with gusty winds and strong winds are likely in all of Sindh, including Karachi, until March 29.
Light to moderate rain is likely in Shahr-e-Quaid today and tomorrow, while heavy rain with thunder and strong winds and hail (hail) is also expected in the city on March 28 and 29.
Rain and snowfall along with hail have also been predicted in the upper areas.
The Meteorological Department and the administration have directed citizens to be cautious, and in view of the risk of flash flooding, people living near rivers and canals should evacuate or take precautionary measures.
Stay away from electricity poles and dilapidated buildings during strong winds and storms, while tourists have been advised to be careful while traveling to mountainous areas due to the risk of landslides.
