Despite the Middle East war, remittances from abroad increased by 0.7% in August.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, overseas Pakistanis sent remittances worth $3.7 billion in August 2026, which was 0.7% more than in July and 16.5% more than in August 2025.
According to the State Bank, a total of $7.3 billion in remittances were received from overseas Pakistanis in the first 2 months of the current fiscal year, compared to $6.4 billion in the first 2 months of the previous fiscal year.
According to the State Bank, remittances in the first 2 months of the current fiscal year have increased by 14.7% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
