RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy has successfully tested a locally developed anti-ship missile.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the locally developed anti-ship missile hit the target at a long distance with high accuracy and speed.
The ISPR said that Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf witnessed the missile firing while a team of scientists and engineers were also present at the site during the test.
According to the ISPR, the missile is equipped with a modern guidance system and high-performance technology. The missile effectively avoids threats and acquires the target in changing conditions.
The ISPR said that the locally developed missile is a clear proof of Pakistan’s technical expertise. The successful test reflects the combination of operational expertise and modern technology, while the President, Prime Minister and military leadership appreciated the team for the successful test.
The ISPR said that the Pakistan Navy is committed to making maritime defense strong and effective. This exercise is a manifestation of the commitment to maintaining effective defense capabilities at sea, while measures are underway to ensure regional maritime security and stability.
