Malaysia is set to make a landmark return to the Formula 1 spotlight after nearly a decade, with the world-famous Sepang International Circuit confirmed to host the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix from October 2–4 under a special one-off arrangement.
The race replaces Bahrain’s scheduled event following regional disruptions, bringing F1 back to Malaysian soil for the first time since the Malaysian Grand Prix ended in 2017.
Renowned for its high-speed layout, intense tropical heat, and unpredictable rain, Sepang has produced some of the sport’s most memorable battles. The event is expected to reignite local fan enthusiasm while showcasing Malaysia’s enduring reputation as a premier global motorsport destination.
