ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country today.
Rain is likely at a few places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
The highest temperature recorded on Monday was 45 degrees Celsius in Turbat and Mithi.
44 degrees Celsius was recorded in Karachi, Sukkur, Sibi, Lasbela and Thatta, 40 degrees Celsius in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, 37 degrees Celsius in Lahore, 34 degrees Celsius in Islamabad, Quetta, and 33 degrees Celsius in Peshawar.
In addition, rain and hailstorm were also recorded in many areas of Punjab including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Pakpattan, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Vehari.
Five people were also killed due to rain and lightning in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir, while intermittent snowfall continued on Babusar Top, Nanga Parbat and Batugah Top.
