Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the new ODI rankings.
The position of several national players, including star batsman Babar Azam, has improved in the rankings released by the ICC.
In the ODI batsmen’s rankings, Babar Azam has moved up one place to seventh from sixth with 689 rating points. Salman Ali Agha has moved up two places to 18th from 16th with 630 points.
Former captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan remains at 31st position with 560 points, while left-handed opener Fakhar Zaman has dropped one place to 37th from 36th. Saim Ayub is at 44th position.
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell remains at the top of the ODI batting rankings with 802 rating points. Indian captain Shubman Gill is second while experienced batsman Virat Kohli is third.
In the ODI bowlers’ rankings, Shaheen Shah Afridi has moved up two places to seventh from ninth with 604 rating points. Haris Rauf has also moved up two places to 20th.
Naseem Shah has moved down two places to 49th with 477 points, while Mohammad Wasim Jr has moved up one place to 70th from 71st.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is at the top of the ODI bowling rankings, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed is second and England fast bowler Jofra Archer is third.
