ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products.
According to a notification issued by the government, diesel has been made expensive by Rs 7.15 per liter, while the price of petrol per liter has been increased by Rs 4.93.
According to the notification, the new price of petrol has become Rs 320.73 per liter, while the new price of diesel has been set at Rs 367.21 per liter.
It should be remembered that the Petrol Pump Association has announced to close petrol pumps from tomorrow. In a video statement issued by General Secretary All Pakistan Petrol Pumps Association Noman Ali Butt, it was said that our negotiations with the Ministry of Petroleum have failed.
He said that changes in the prices of petroleum products on a daily basis are not acceptable in any case, and we reject the government’s proposed daily price mechanism.
Noman Ali Butt said that after the failure of the negotiations, petrol pumps will remain closed for an indefinite period across Pakistan from 12 o’clock tomorrow night.
