ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
According to private TV channel Hum News, the Meteorological Department has predicted that light rain is likely in most of the plain districts of the province including Peshawar during the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, rain is also expected in Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Dir and other upper districts today, which is expected to make the weather pleasant.
Rain and hail are expected at a few places in the upper areas of the country, however, the weather is likely to remain hot in South Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. Rain is likely in Kashmir and North-East Punjab.
Rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is also likely at a few places in the Potohar region. Hail is also possible during this time, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in other parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department says that light to moderate rain may be recorded in some areas along with cloudy weather. Rain is likely to bring down the temperature and reduce the intensity of the heat. Relevant agencies have been instructed to monitor the weather situation and citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
