ISLAMABAD: According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to be hot and dry in most parts of Punjab during the next 24 hours, while the weather in the Potohar region is likely to be partly cloudy in the afternoon.
However, Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas are likely to be partly cloudy and there may be thundershowers. Dusty winds are likely to prevail in the southern districts in the afternoon.
According to the spokesperson, during the last 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of Punjab, including Lahore, while strong winds continued to blow in the southern districts in the afternoon. The minimum temperature in the city was 24 and the maximum 39 degrees Celsius yesterday, while the humidity rate in the air was recorded at 40 percent. The overall pollution rate in Lahore was 111 percent, while the air quality index in different areas of the city was 92 on Bedian Road, 92 on CERP, 70 on Barki Road, 64 on Askari Ten, 127 on Allama Iqbal Town and 82 on Model Town.
