ISLAMABAD: The National Emergency Operation Center of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a report regarding the expected weather conditions in the country from March 6 to 11, 2026.
According to the report, the weather will remain dry in most parts of the country in the next few days, while an unusual increase in temperature is expected, due to which the intensity of the heat may increase.
The weather will remain dry in most districts of Punjab, with light rain with gusty winds and gusty winds expected from March 9 to 11. Cloudy weather and light rain are expected in the Potohar region including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Mianwali during the same days.
Most areas of Balochistan will remain dry and hot, however, light rain and partly cloudy weather has been predicted in northern Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat and Kalat from March 7 to 9.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most areas will remain dry and temperatures will increase, while light rain may occur in Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Peshawar and Swabi.
The weather is expected to remain dry across Sindh and the day temperature will be above normal.
Similarly, partly cloudy weather and light rain are expected in various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. The affected areas include Astore, Gilgit, Skardu, Diamer, Ghizer, Hunza, Nagar, Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Hattian Bala, Bagh, Haveli and Poonch.
The NDMA has directed farmers to ensure effective irrigation arrangements so that the dry weather and rising temperatures do not damage the crops. The authority has further said that all concerned agencies and the public should continue to take steps to keep them informed about the weather conditions and possible hazards in advance.
