ISLAMABAD: Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam says that Iran has conveyed a new negotiation plan to the US through Pakistan, and progress in the negotiations depends on the US attitude.
In an interview with the Iranian News Agency, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam said that progress in the negotiations is conditional on a change in the US attitude, Iran is transparent in its stance and demands, and if the US is serious, it will have to change its attitude.
He said that Iran will not compromise on national interests and defense, and a new negotiation plan to end the war has been conveyed to the US through Pakistan. Pakistan is the central mediator in the current process and its efforts are valuable. Pakistan remains the mediator. There has been no decision to change it.
The Iranian ambassador said that the international community is seeing Iran’s clear and logical stance. The US’s attitude is unstable. Iran is committed to the path of diplomacy, but progress depends on the US. The US must abandon its aggressive attitude and respect Iran’s rights.
Reza Amiri Moqadam said that political, economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Iran continue to increase. Pakistan seeks to diversify trade routes in the region and cooperate with Iran. Mirjava, Taftan and Gabd-e Ramdan border crossings are important for Pak-Iran trade.
