RIYADH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. The two leaders discussed the current situation in the region and bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Saudi Crown Prince met at Qasr Islam in Jeddah. Upon the Prime Minister’s arrival, Prince Mohammad bin Salman warmly welcomed him.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Saudi Crown Prince discussed the Iran-US talks, and issues of peace and stability in the region were also discussed. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reiterated their commitment to further strengthen relations.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was also present at the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
It should be recalled that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday along with a high-level delegation on an important official visit.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, upon arrival in Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Mashaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Mecca Region, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, and Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation at the airport.
