ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures are likely to increase in most of the plains of the country from today to June 12.
The daytime temperature in the upper areas is expected to be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius higher than normal, while in the lower areas it is expected to be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius higher.
The Meteorological Department says that intense heat will continue in Islamabad, northern Punjab and various districts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until tomorrow. However, rain is expected in Islamabad on June 11 and 12.
According to the NDMA, rain is also expected in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Punjab on June 11 and 12, and thundershowers have been predicted in Rawalpindi, Lahore and other districts.
On the other hand, the heat is likely to continue in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and most districts of Sindh. Thunderstorms are expected in Zhob and Musakhel districts of Balochistan on June 11 and 12.
Rain is also expected in Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Mansehra and Abbottabad on June 11 and 12, while rain is expected to begin in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir from June 12.
