ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Weather Update: A new spell of rains has begun, the weather has become pleasant due to rain in different areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the rain will continue throughout the day.
Rain accompanied by strong winds occurred in various cities of Punjab including Lahore, which significantly reduced the temperature, in Sialkot, the sky looked like night during the day due to rain and dark clouds, in Gujarat and its neighboring areas, several electricity feeders were tripped due to rain along with strong winds, due to which power supply was suspended in many areas.
Intermittent rain also continued in Pindi Bhattian, Khanqah Dogran, Gujar Khan, Mianwali and Zafarwal, the weather became pleasant due to rain with thunder in various cities.
On the other hand, the weather in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa became pleasant due to heavy rain. Rain and hailstorms began in Mardan and its surrounding areas with strong winds. In Swabi, the weather became pleasant due to heavy rains and hailstorms with strong winds. Due to the stormy winds, several electricity feeders tripped. Heavy rains with thunder and lightning also started in Fateh Jang and its suburbs.
After a hot and dry weather, the PDMA has predicted wind and rains across the province including Lahore from today to June 20.
