ISLAMABAD: New Zealand defeated Canada by 8 wickets.
In pursuit of the target, Tim Seifert and Finn Allen opened the innings for New Zealand. Tim Seifert was caught by Saad Bin Zafar after scoring 6 runs, Finn Allen returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs.
Richin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips showed excellent batting and led the team to victory. Richin Ravindra was unbeaten on 59 runs and Glenn Phillips was unbeaten on 76 runs. New Zealand achieved the target in 15.1 overs.
It should be noted that in the ICCT T20 World Cup, Canada had given New Zealand a target of 174 runs.
Canada won the toss and decided to bat first, Yuvraj Samra and Dilpreet Bajwa opened the innings for Canada.
Dilpreet Bajwa scored 36 runs and was caught out, Yuvraj Samra showed brilliant batting and scored 110 runs in 65 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 11 fours.
The Canadian team scored 173 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated twenty overs and set a target of 174 runs for New Zealand.
Matt Henry, Jimmy Neesham, Jacob Duffy and Jamieson took one wicket each for New Zealand.
