Mina: The Hajj rituals have begun and the main pillar of Hajj, the Wukuf-e-Arafah, was performed today.
On Monday, 8th Dhul-Hijjah, Hajj pilgrims spent the day of Tarwiyah in Mina. Due to the intense heat, the Hajj pilgrims spent most of the day in tents. As the weather became pleasant in the evening, the hustle and bustle of the Hajj pilgrims increased on the streets and roads of Mina.

Approximately 2 million Muslims from all over the world are currently in Mina. Hajj pilgrims from all over the world, including Pakistan, offered Zuhr and Asr prayers in Mina. The departure of the first caravans from Mina to the Arafat plain began in the evening.
Today, on 9th Dhul-Hijjah, the Hajj pilgrims performed the main pillar of Hajj, the Wukuf-e-Arafah. Today, before the Zuhr prayer, all the Hajj pilgrims reached the Arafat plain and heard the Hajj sermon at the historic Nimrah Mosque.
The Hajj sermon was delivered by Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, Ali Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhaifi. After sunset, the pilgrims will leave for Muzdalifah and will spend the night in Muzdalifah under the open sky.
According to the Saudi Meteorological Department, the weather in Mina and Arafat is extremely hot, and the temperature is likely to be around 45 degrees on the Day of Arafa.
Saudi authorities have increased the number of shaded areas, mist fans and medical facilities at the holy sites for the convenience of pilgrims and have appealed to pilgrims to use more water and follow instructions.
