LAHORE: The weather in Lahore has become pleasant due to heavy rains, the monsoon rain system is still present across Punjab.
Rain on Muslim Town, Jail Road, Ichhra and Canal Road, clouds fell in different areas including Karman Chowk, Allama Iqbal Town, light rain in some places, heavy rain in others continues in different areas of the city.
The rain has made the weather pleasant, the intensity of heat and humidity has clearly decreased, cool winds have made the weather in Lahore more attractive. Traffic speed on the roads has been affected after the rain, citizens should travel carefully. WASA staff is active for drainage in low-lying areas.
The Meteorological Department and PDMA have issued an alert in view of possible losses, while on the instructions of MD WASA, the operational staff has also been alerted regarding drainage.
As per the instructions, officers and employees will be present in the field as soon as the rain starts.
According to PDMA Punjab, the flow of water in the rivers of the province is increasing due to monsoon rains. In this regard, the second spell of rains is predicted to continue until July 24.
