ISLAMABAD: The heat intensity is likely to increase in the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from May 8 to 10.
The PDMA has sent a letter in this regard in which an alert has been issued to all district administrations regarding advance measures.
According to the PDMA, the temperature is likely to increase to 43 to 47 degrees Celsius during the day in DI Khan, Tank, Bannu, Karak and Lakki Marwat.
According to the PDMA, the temperature is likely to increase to 39 to 43 degrees Celsius in Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Haripur and Kohat. The heat intensity will continue in the southern and central regions.
The PDM has directed the relevant institutions to establish heat stroke centers, cooling points and mobile cooling units, and said that Rescue 1122 and the fire brigade should also be ready to deal with emergencies. In addition, instructions have been given to keep medical staff and facilities in hospitals active.
