Dubai: Pakistan Women defeated Hong Kong Women by 72 runs in the Women’s Asia Cup to qualify for the semi-finals.
In the match played in Dubai, Pakistan Women scored 143 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs while batting first.
Shawal Zulfiqar scored 47 and Ayesha Zafar scored 26 runs. Captain Fatima Sana played an unbeaten innings of 24 runs.
In reply, the Hong Kong Women team was bundled out for just 71 runs due to the devastating bowling of Pakistani spinner Nashra Sindhu.
Nashra Sindhu bowled the best in the history of Pakistan Women’s T20, taking 6 wickets for just 7 runs.
Thus, Pakistan Women won the match by 72 runs and qualified for the semi-finals of the event, where they will face the Sri Lanka Women team on September 11.
