ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted the weather during Eid-ul-Adha across the country, while under the current system, rain is likely in upper Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the next two days.
Talking to a private TV, Director of the Meteorological Department Irfan Virk said that the weather in Lahore will be fine for the next two days, but after that, heat will start again, while there will be rain in the upper and northeastern Punjab areas in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Regarding Karachi, he said that Karachi is not as hot as it was in early May, but the temperature will remain high and the weather will remain good for the next two days.
Regarding Eid, the Director of the Meteorological Department said that after the recent series of rains stops, the heat will gradually increase and there is a possibility of another series of rains before Eid, but a final forecast cannot be made in this regard yet.
The Director of the Meteorological Department said that according to the current forecast, the heat will increase after the series of rains passes and the intensity of the heat will increase during the days of Eid.
The director of El Nino, Matt, explained that if El Nino becomes active in the Pacific Ocean, rainfall in South Asian countries during the monsoon is slightly reduced.
