ISLAMABAD: According to the Meteorological Department, during the next 24 hours, rain is expected in the southern and upper parts of Punjab, while the weather in other areas will remain hot and dry.
According to the Meteorological Department spokesperson, wind/dusty winds and rain with thunder are expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sargodha and the Potohar region. Similarly, Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas may experience partly cloudy weather, with light rain with strong winds and thunder.
According to the spokesperson, during the last 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of Punjab, including Lahore. However, in the afternoon, light rain accompanied by gusty/dusty winds and thundershowers occurred in southern Punjab and the Potohar region. The minimum temperature in the city was 25 and the maximum was 40 degrees Celsius, while the humidity rate in the air was recorded at 39 percent. The overall pollution rate in Lahore was 157 percent, while the air quality index in different areas of the city was 107 on Bedian Road, 96 on CERP, 76 on Barki Road Lahore, 71 on Askari Tan, 144 on Allama Iqbal Town and 119 on Model Town.
