RAWALPINDI: ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said in a briefing regarding Pakistan’s Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq that there is no difference between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorists, the world understands that Pakistan’s Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq is for the protection of the people.
DG ISPR said that on the night of 21 and 22 February, Pakistani forces targeted the hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij near the border, the Afghan Taliban regime took it as a base and carried out a cold action.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the Taliban regime opened fire at 53 places in 15 sectors on the Pak-Afghan border, the attacks were repelled at all 53 places.
He said that Pakistan gave such a strong response that the world saw it, the enemy was given a befitting reply at all 53 places.
DG ISPR said that 274 Taliban regime personnel and Khawarij were killed in Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq, while more than 400 were injured.
DG ISPR said that more than 74 posts of the Taliban regime were completely destroyed, 18 posts of the Taliban regime are in Pakistan’s possession, while 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles have been destroyed.
According to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, 12 Pakistani army personnel have been martyred in the operation so far, while 27 have been injured.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that drone attacks in Abbottabad and Nowshera have been foiled.
He said that 22 locations of Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Khawarij were targeted, while targets in Kabul, Paktia and Kandahar were targeted with great precision.
He said that the Pakistani forces targeted only military targets in a professional manner, the terrorists’ hideouts and weapons depots were destroyed, the terrorists fled leaving the bodies of their comrades behind.
The DG ISPR said that our air force targeted the Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Kabul, the whole world saw the fireworks in the sky of Kabul at night, the Brigade Headquarters in Kandahar was destroyed.
The DG ISPR said that there is no difference between the Afghan Taliban regime and the terrorists, the world understands that Pakistan’s Operation Ghazbad-ul-Haq is for the protection of the people.
He said that on the Prime Minister’s directive, Operation Ghazbad-ul-Haq is ongoing, Operation Ghazbad-ul-Haq will continue until its objectives are achieved.
