Social media platform TikTok has deleted a total of 28,198,284 videos in Pakistan for violating community guidelines. According to TikTok’s latest report, during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26 (July to September), TikTok took steps to identify and remove content violating community guidelines to ensure a better and safer experience on the platform for global users.
OpenAI broke financial records, with revenue tripling. In this quarter, 28,198,284 videos were deleted in Pakistan for violating community guidelines, of which 99.8% were identified by automated systems, and 95.9% were removed within 24 hours of being uploaded. According to TikTok, automated technology handles most of the work, while human teams focus on cases where human judgment is required, such as reviewing appeals, involving expert guidance, and responding promptly to changing situations.
Globally, in the same quarter, TikTok removed a total of 204 million videos, which constitutes about 0.7 percent of the total content uploaded on the platform.
Out of the deleted videos, 186,608,081 were identified by automated systems, while another 8,950,735 videos were restored after further review. The preemptive removal rate was 99.3 percent, and 94.8 percent of the flagged content was removed within 24 hours of being uploaded. In the same quarter, TikTok also deleted 118,618,399 fake accounts to maintain its integrity and removed 22,226,542 accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13.
According to the report, a significant portion of the removed videos, about 30 percent, contained sensitive or adult content, which was against TikTok’s policies. Additionally, 15.7 percent of the videos violated the platform’s standards for safety and decency, while 2.7 percent of the videos breached privacy and security rules.
Furthermore, 32.9 percent of the deleted videos were identified as misinformation, and 34.4 percent of the videos were recognized as edited media or AI-generated content.
TikTok’s Community Guidelines Enforcement Report indicates that the platform is not only taking serious measures to monitor and control content but is also fully committed to providing a transparent and safe digital environment for users.
