ISLAMABAD: The government has strong public support for the ceasefire efforts between the US, Iran and Israel.
The latest Gallup survey has revealed that 93 percent of the people in Pakistan support the ceasefire efforts and 80 percent are optimistic for peace.
The survey conducted on April 8 and 9 revealed that 82 percent of the people are aware of the Pakistani government’s efforts for a ceasefire, while 46 percent of the people said they are hearing about a great deal.
According to the survey, 93 percent of the people have supported Pakistan’s mediation role in the ceasefire efforts, of which 72 percent are strongly supportive, while the number of those who avoid mediation is very small.
According to the survey, 80 percent of citizens believe that the ceasefire will lead to peace, and among them, 44 percent are very optimistic for peace.
