RAWALPINDI: According to the ISPR, on the intervening night of July 23 and 24, terrorists belonging to Fitna-ul-Khawarij attacked a check post in Tank, which was foiled by security forces through timely and effective action. 12 terrorists who escaped during the operation were killed.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, after the failure of the attack, the terrorists rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the outer wall of the check post, which severely damaged the infrastructure of the check post. 15 personnel were martyred in this attack, including 12 army personnel, 2 police personnel and a government official of the forest department.
