Rain is expected in two phases (March 6 to 7 and then March 9 to 11) in the areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while rain has been predicted in the federal capital, Murree, Galiat and the Potohar region during March 10 and 11.
While clouds will fall in the upper areas, the sun will shine in the plains.
Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan: Temperatures are likely to be up to 8 degrees Celsius above normal in these plains.
The intensity of heat will also increase in Sindh and southern Balochistan and the temperature may rise up to 7 degrees Celsius above normal.
The Meteorological Department has advised farmers and citizens to take precautionary measures in view of the changing weather and sudden rise in temperature, as the weather will remain dry and hot in the plains during the next few days.
