ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced to maintain the prices of petrol and diesel in the country.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that he was given a proposal to increase petrol by Rs 95 and diesel by Rs 203, which he has rejected.
He said that the federal government has decided to bear the burden of another Rs 56 billion this week.
The Prime Minister said that in today’s history, petrol should have been Rs 544 per liter, which the government is giving you at Rs 322, while the price of diesel should have been Rs 790 per liter, which the government is providing to you at Rs 335.
Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister said that for me there is nothing but the economic security of the people. Petrol prices have doubled all over the world, the government has prevented this storm of inflation from reaching the people.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that he is active day and night on the diplomatic front to establish peace in the region, Pakistan is working very successfully on two fronts.
Shahbaz Sharif said that we are trying to save the region and friendly countries from a devastating war.
He said that I have had detailed discussions with the leaders of Iran and the Gulf countries many times, Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are not just an international effort but a religious duty.
The Prime Minister said that Ishaq Dar is working with full dedication and sincerity, while Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is also playing a key role in this process.
