LAHORE: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a favorable forecast for the weather in Punjab, especially Lahore, on the occasion of Basant.
According to the PDMA, the weather in Lahore and its surroundings is expected to be generally pleasant during the days of Basant, while the weather is expected to be dry and partly cloudy from February 6 to 8. According to the forecast, the temperature during the days of Basant will be between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, which is considered suitable for kite flying and other activities.
On the other hand, the PDMA has said that there is a possibility of rain in the northern areas during this period while snowfall on the mountains, which may increase the intensity of the cold. The organization has directed the citizens to take precautionary measures during Basant, clarifying that special attention should be paid to electric wires and roofs during kite flying, the use of metal and chemical strings should be completely avoided and motorcyclists should use helmets and protective neck covers.
