ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Weather Update: PMD Predicts Cold and Dry Weather. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country on Thursday, while severe cold wave is expected to persist in the hilly areas. Moderate to severe fog is likely to prevail in the plain areas of Punjab, upper Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the morning and night hours, which may affect visibility.
The weather is expected to remain cold and dry in Islamabad and its surroundings, however, fog may form at a few places in the morning hours. Cold and dry weather will prevail in most districts of Punjab, while severe cold is likely in Murree, Galiyat and adjoining areas. The intensity of fog is predicted to persist in various plain districts of the province.
Moderate to severe fog is also likely to prevail in the upper districts of Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu and its surroundings. Cold and dry weather is expected in the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while fog is expected in various areas including Peshawar, Mardan, Bannu and DI Khan.
The weather is expected to remain extremely cold and dry in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, however, fog is expected at a few places in Kashmir in the morning hours.
