ISLAMABAD: On the fifth day of the business week, a significant increase in the price of gold has been recorded across the country.
According to the Sarafa Bazaar Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,500 on Friday. After which the new price of gold per tola has reached Rs 526,462.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has also increased by Rs 2,144, after which the new price has reached Rs 451,356.
According to experts, fluctuations in gold prices in the global market and the depreciation of the rupee are the main reasons for the increase in prices at the local level. Increased interest in gold by investors also keeps the pressure on prices.
On the other hand, citizens say that due to the continuous increase in gold prices, the expenses of weddings and other celebrations are increasing significantly, which is severely affecting the middle class.
According to market sources, if global prices continue to rise, there is a possibility that the price of gold will increase further in the coming days.
