According to Iranian state media, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred in his office. At the time of his martyrdom, Ayatollah Khamenei was performing his duties.

Iranian media say that the Supreme Leader’s daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter were also killed in the American and Israeli attack. The Supreme Leader’s advisor Ali Shamkhani and Revolutionary Guard Commander Mohammad Pakpour were also martyred.
The Iranian military says that revenge for the Supreme Leader’s assassination will be taken very soon, they will see what they have done. The Revolutionary Guards have announced that they are about to launch a fierce operation on Israeli and American bases.
The Iranian government has said in a statement that the crime of assassinating the Leader of the Revolution will not go unpunished, and that the Leader of the Revolution’s pure blood will uproot the US and Israeli governments.
According to the Iranian news agency, a council consisting of the Iranian president, the head of the judiciary, and a jurist from the Guardian Council will assume duties.
