RAWALPINDI: The military leadership and the armed forces have reiterated their commitment to ensure the defense, security and stability of the country on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
Congratulating the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day, the military leadership and the armed forces have reiterated their commitment to ensure the defense, security and stability of the country and to eradicate terrorism from its roots.
According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, in their joint message on the occasion of the 86th anniversary of Pakistan Day, said that March 23, 1940, is a milestone day in our history which laid the foundation of an independent homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
They said that this day is a symbol of faith, hope and perseverance. By the grace of Allah Almighty, Pakistan is moving on the path of continuous development of democracy while maintaining Islamic principles.
The military leadership said that despite the challenges of terrorism and extremism faced by the country, the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and the public are united and determined to eliminate these threats.
On the occasion of Pakistan Day, the military leadership also reiterated the resolve that the armed forces are always ready to defend the country’s borders against all kinds of aggression and terrorism, protect sovereignty and establish internal peace.
They said that Pakistan, as a responsible state in the international community, will continue to play its role for the promotion of peace, stability and mutual cooperation. The struggle to make Pakistan a strong and prosperous country will continue with the unity, perseverance and hope of the nation.
