The Pakistan cricket team has suffered another setback; following a clean sweep in the Test series against England, the national team has also been fined for a slow over-rate.
The team faced a significant penalty for the slow over-rate during the final Test, resulting in a fine amounting to 50 percent of their match fees.
As a consequence of the fine, the team has also lost valuable World Test Championship (WTC) points; 11 points were deducted, leaving Pakistan with a total of 5 points in the WTC standings.
According to the ICC, Pakistan fell 11 overs short of the target time during the third Test against England, prompting action under the ICC Code of Conduct.
Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam admitted to the offense, and the penalty proceedings were concluded.
