ISLAMABAD: A special ceremony was held at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad on the completion of one year of Operation Bunyan Marsus Marka-e-Haq. In which a magnificent fireworks display was displayed.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the chiefs of the armed forces, are participating in the ceremony. In addition, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the Senate and federal ministers are also participating. Ambassadors of different countries, civil and military officials, and relatives of the martyrs are also present at the ceremony.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem. The well-dressed contingents of the three armed forces marched past and presented a salute. A fireworks display was displayed at the special ceremony at the Pakistan Monument.
On the appeal of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a minute’s silence was also observed in the ceremony for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s address at the ceremony:
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the ceremony, said that we prostrate ourselves in gratitude to the one who gave victory to the Marka-e-Haq, and we pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives to protect the motherland.
He said that India made baseless allegations based on the Pahalgam incident. We had informed the enemy about the consequences of every kind of adventure, we also offered to investigate every kind of incident.
The Prime Minister said that the cowardly enemy imposed war on us, to which the brave troops gave a historic response. When our falcons pounced on the enemy, the enemy was in great distress. Our falcons were dominant everywhere and there was debris of enemy planes. The enemy was forced to request a ceasefire.
He said that despite the passage of a year, India has not been able to present any evidence till date. I announce that May 10 will be named as the Day of Struggle for Truth. The Day of Struggle for Truth will be celebrated every year with full enthusiasm.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that I salute the martyrs of the country, their families and the people. I pay tribute to the brave chief of the armed forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir. If I do not mention Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, history will remain incomplete. Our Air Force has opened the floodgates for the enemy’s claims. I pay tribute to Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and the soldiers of the Navy.
Regarding the mediation in the US-Iran war, the Prime Minister said that he would like to thank the brotherly and friendly countries for their support, he would also like to thank US President Donald Trump who worked to end the war, he would also like to thank Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, and Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership who provided political, diplomatic and moral support in the fight for justice.
He said that Pakistan is using its capabilities to establish peace in the brotherly neighboring country of Iran. We played an important role in bringing them to negotiations after 1979. The Field Marshal has just informed that Iran’s response has been received.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has always stood as a strong voice for the rights and justice of oppressed nations. Pakistan has raised its voice for Palestine and occupied Kashmir at every level.
President Asif Ali Zardari’s address:
President Asif Ali Zardari said that May 10 is a bright chapter in the country’s history. India attacked Pakistan without provocation. India attacked Pakistan’s civilian population and places of worship. Our Air Force shot down 8 enemy aircraft. Pakistan will continue to provide diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Kashmir. The Pakistan Air Force and the Pakistan Army gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression.
